P1 Travel is the largest ticketing company in Europe, and an official hospitality partner or authorized reseller for numerous organisations. These include several Premier League clubs, among them Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United. As well as football clubs both in England and Europe, P1 Travel partners with a host of sports tournaments and event venues. But when push comes to shove how do they perform? Check out our review of P1 Travel for a thorough appraisal.
P1 Travel Pros and Cons
A market leader in the premium hospitality ticketing industry, P1 Travel has been in the business since 2007, earning a strong reputation for reliability and efficiency over nearly two decades. As we’ll show, P1 Travel is an officially authorized reseller, teaming up with a variety of clubs around England, Europe and the world.
In this review we will take a forensic look at P1 Travel, assessing what they do well, but also where customers have registered their dissatisfaction. We hope to cover every aspect of dealing with P1 Travel, addressing some of the concerns that crop up most frequently.
We will also scour the user reviews on Trustpilot for the full, unbiased lowdown on P1 Travel.
What Does P1 Travel Offer Compared to other Secondary Market Companies
Right away, the big thing in P1 Travel’s favour is that they are a highly-respected major player in the reselling and hospitality industries. They provide tickets for more than 5,000 events every year, adding up to around 180,000 individual experiences.
This grants them a level of esteem that is unrivalled in the industry. Even better, P1 Travel is an official partner for a whole raft of clubs. So as opposed to the secondary market, you will often be buying official tickets through the football team. Access and seating are guaranteed.
Instantly this removes a lot of doubt from the equation. When you deal with unofficial resellers there is always the remote possibility of an unpleasant surprise. Of course, we should point out that, while unreliable sellers are very uncommon, things can go wrong occasionally.
With P1 Travel you do not have to worry for one second about being refused entry to the stadium. This might be a nagging doubt at the back of your mind when you deal with secondary market companies, but it does not come into the equation with P1 Travel.
You can simply look forward to the game, along with any exclusive perks that may come with your hospitality package.
What Kind of Tickets does P1 Travel Sell?
For Premier League teams, hospitality packages might include access to an exclusive lounge, fine dining, comfy padded seats, a free match programme, perfect views of the game, interactions with famous former players, and many more. It all depends on your package.
P1 Travel also offers accommodation, so you can nail down two key elements of your trip in one go. Sometimes, the hospitality package includes a non-negotiable hotel room, and we’ll address this issue below.
Away from the Premier League, P1 Travel is an authorised ticket agent, offering General Admission seats for clubs in leagues around Europe, from Serie A to La Liga. In contrast to the hospitality packages in England, continental tickets go for as little as £15.
Simply stated, P1 Travel offers a top-of-the-line premium experience, with all of the peace of mind and customer-orientation that you would expect.

First off, this company is an authorised sales agent for the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. So you can browse a host of experiences, ranging from regular tickets (single or multiple days) to high-end VIP hospitality lounges. At the highest level of exclusivity are Paddock Club passes, usually with views of the start line team garages, open bars, high-class dining and much more.

The Buying Experience with P1 Travel
The P1 Travel website has a clean, intuitive interface, and you can locate the team and match you want in a matter of seconds.
P1 Travel Event Guarantee
P1 Travel states that the tickets that it lists are based on updated allocations, linked to the actual capacity of the stadium and provided in cooperation with their official partners.
As part of their Event Guarantee, if an event is rescheduled, you get to keep your ticket and it will be valid for the new date. If the event is cancelled, then you can keep the order as credit for another event.
Availability of Tickets with P1 Travel
Now, since P1 Travel is an authorized vendor, you can only purchase tickets for the teams that we listed above.
Finding Tickets on P1 Travel
You can use the drop-down menu or search function to look for the team you want to see.
This will bring you to a list of fixtures, date, ascending, all of which are for the home team.
Often, the listing will point out that the section is for home fans only.
After clicking on your desired fixture, you will be presented with an often extensive choice of packages and a range of price points.
Keeping in mind that P1 Travel specializes in hospitality, these are premium experiences that people are happy to splash out on. Selecting your package means “Composing Your Trip”.
Booking Your Tickets with P1 Travel
So at this point you confirm the number of seats you need in and/or the hotel that you would like to stay in. As we’ve pointed out, sometimes a hotel booking is included in the package and is compulsory.
If you’re ordering “Ticket(s) + hotel, you immediately get to choose the check-in dates and room configuration.
On the same page, the next step is to choose the section you want to sit in. Often there’s a choice, with a price stated there’s an additional cost. Clicking on these panels will highlight exactly where the section is on the stadium layout plan.
Additional information is provided here, including whether the seats are together in a group, pairs only or dispersed around different locations in the section. Also note the blue tab, giving you an idea of when you can expect your tickets. This will vary by listing.
Then, if you’re booking a room, a neatly-presented menu opens up, with a map and listings that can be ordered by price, distance to city centre, distance to stadium and star-rating.
After you’ve made your choices, you enter your personal details and proceed to payment.
If you have any doubts about these stages of the process there’s a chat pop-up with a representative ready to answer any questions. You can also use WhatsApp or a customer service phone number. These options are available on weekdays 09:00 to 17:00 (UTC +01:00).
The next step is receiving your tickets by email, or by collecting them from the given club’s box office on the day. This all depends on the nature of the package you purchase.
Trying out P1 Travel’s Customer Service
We decided to test P1 Travel’s customer service by shooting them a question by email to which we already knew the answer. The point was purely to test their responsiveness and general customer care skills.
Well, no problems there as we received a clear if terse response to our query within eight minutes. There you have it: For some packages, you cannot opt out of the hotel room, so this is something to remember when browsing tickets on P1 Travel.
P1 Travel Terms and Conditions
We imagine that in most cases the match ticket will be the whole reason for making the trip. So even with a company like P1 Travel, it is essential that you study the Terms and Conditions so you’re leaving no aspect of your purchase to chance.
So there are a few key articles that you need to keep in mind, and we’ll highlight them now:
“article 5 – Delivery
- Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the delivery times specified by P1 will never be regarded as strict deadlines.”
So that means that you’ll need to be flexible.
“article 7 – Cancelled or postponed Events
- P1 will endeavour to give the Buyer due notice if an Event is cancelled or postponed, and simultaneously provide the new date, time and location of the postponed Event to the extent those details are known. P1 advises the Buyer and Visitors to check for themselves whether an Event has been cancelled or postponed and whether a new date has been set.”
Now this is an issue that leads to the majority of complaints and negative reviews for P1 Travel. If the date of the fixture is changed and you can’t make the new date, you are not entitled to a refund.
“article 8 – Liability
- P1 cannot be regarded as the Event Organiser and has no influence over the quality and content of the Event and the procedures in or around the Event venue. P1 therefore is not responsible, gives no guarantees in respect of the Event, and cannot accept any liability on this basis.”
It is important to remember that the clubs themselves are responsible for the quality hospitality packages and the match experience, and not P1.
P1 Travel Reviews from Other Sites
As you can see, P1 Travel has a 4.2 star rating on Trustpilot, from a total of almost 5,000 reviewers. The reviews are overwhelmingly positive, praising P1 Travel’s ease of use, customer service and the total lack of hitches or drama in the experience.
However there are some negative scores, almost all concerning one aspect of P1 Travel’s business model, and misunderstandings on the part of the customer. We’ll look at the good and not so good below:
P1 Travel Positive Reviews
The vast majority of people who use P1 Travel report a smooth and effortless transaction. For many people P1 Travel makes ‘bucket list’ experiences extremely simple. The website is cleanly designed and easy to use.
Tickets arrive when they’re supposed to, or are easy to collect. They also offer everything advertised in the original listing.
Meanwhile, all questions are answered by the customer service team. That means before and after purchase, using the channels that are most convenient for you, whether by phone, text, email or WhatsApp. Users repeatedly praise the constant communication, bringing peace-of-mind to every step.
To sum up, here are some topics that repeat numerous times in the positive reviews:
- Tickets are easy to find and order
- Tickets arrive at the promised time, and are preceded by updates from P1 Travel
- Absolutely no issues gaining access to venues with tickets
- Clear and prompt customer service communication throughout
P1 Travel Negative Reviews
While P1 Travel has a stellar score on Trustpilot, you will notice that average is brought down to 4.2 by 1-star reviews, accounting for 7% of the total reviews.
While this could be cause for concern, reading through the negative reviews should ease your mind a little.
In the majority of cases the negative reviews stem from the date of the match changing. The customer is unable to attend, and is also unable to obtain a refund. Now, returning to the Terms and Conditions you can easily find P1 Travel’s policy under “article 7 – Cancelled or postponed Events”.
Essentially, it is the responsibility of the buyer to verify the date. Unless new tickets are issued by the club, the original tickets are still valid, even if the purchaser can’t travel on that date.
You don’t even need to delve into the Terms and Conditions. As we illustrated, there’s a clear “Date Confirmed” or “Not Confirmed” tag for every match listing on the website.
It’s just a fact of professional football that fixtures are not set in stone. The dates and kick-off times can be changed because of a host of reasons. These range from schedule clashes due to qualification for domestic or European cup competitions, or because broadcasters want to feature the match on television.
In case it needs to be restated, if you are not flexible about the fixture you want to attend, you should always ensure that the date is confirmed on P1 Travel’s listing before you make a purchase.
So in short, a few criticisms that occur in unfavourable reviews include:
- Lack of a refund when an event is postponed
- Lack of a resale option on the platform for these cases
- Lack of a cash refund instead of credit for cancellations
- Actual accommodation being different from the one initially advertised
Verdict
For tickets to premium hospitality experiences you can’t do better than P1 Travel. Knowing that you’re going through an official partner to football clubs naturally brings a degree of trust to the entire process. On top of that, everything is made smoother by a clean and clear website, exceptional customer service, and promises fulfilled at every step. However, you need to be aware of the Terms and Conditions, and avoid purchasing a match ticket unless you can change plans if the fixture moves.
